My Childhood

Childhood is one of the best period of one's life.Since my father is in the army,so I spent my childhood in many places which I will discuss afterwards.I have changed nine schools from nursery to 12th.
I was born in Meerut (UP) in 1994.Then my father got transferred to Akhnoor (J&K) for another year.

After that we went to Tinsukia (Assam) where I started my school.I completed my nursery from Army School,Tinsukia. I still remember most of the things about that place. When my father was on leave, I first completed my homework, then we drank pepsi together and then we played 'Mario' and 'Contra' on TV.After all this we did lunch and then we went to swimming for an hour or so.Thus I had lots of fun there.

Then my father got posted to Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) where I did LKG and a bit of UKG. There I was in Aadhunik Public School. The best thing I remember about this place was that I once went to the terrace of our house and prayed to God to give me little sister so that I could have someone to play with.We even travelled a lot there and went to McLoedganj where we once played in snow.

The next place was Jalandhar (Punjab) where I jumped 1st class and I did a little bit of 2nd class as well. This was the place where my sister 'Rimjhim' was born. The night before the morning she was born,I danced whole night in the M.H.(Military Hospital) premise.I studied in Army School Jalandhar during that time.I would like to talk about a particular incident which happened in the olympic size swimming pool in Jalandhar. My father jokingly said that Shrey,if you have guts then jump from the 5 metre jumping board.I was in 2nd class at that time.So I went to the jumping board and 'BOOM',the next moment I had jumped. My whole body was paining as I had not jumped in proper orientation. But this is one moment where I felt fearless.

Then in July 2001,we were to go to Janglote,a small place near Jammu. This was the first time that we lived at a place for more than one year.We lived for about three years there.I consider this to be the best place I ever was.Near my house inside the cantonment, many children of the same age as mine lived.I still remember that we had bunkers made in front of our house so that in case of emergency we can go there. We children played in those bunkers. This was the best time I ever had.

After that in May 2004 we went to Sagar,a small place in Madhya Pradesh. This was the first and last time that I was in a convent school. I did my 5th,6th and 7th class from Sagar.

Then I went to place like Damana (J&K), Mhow (MP) and Kota (Rajasthan). Finally I am at a place where I will live in one place for the longest time in my life.

The BITSAT Story

This post deals with my experience of BITSAT-the entrance test of BITS Pilani.
BITSAT is one of the toughest exams to clear.I was always confident of clearing this exam as I had seen plenty of my seniors going to BITS Pilani.
After my JEE exam, which went very bad,I was motivated to clear both BITSAT and AIEEE. My father helped me the most during this precious period.I even left playing tennis, the love of my life, during this time.I gave it my all for BITSAT. This was probably the only time where I was studying voluntarily. I studied each and every chapter of the course and by the time of actual exam I was very confident of clearing it. But I had to be careful in not making any silly mistakes.
My BITSAT date was 28 May 2012 and my exam was in the morning slot. My centre was Delhi and I reached there on 27 May. My board exam results were also due on 28th. So my mother told me not to worry as she was confident that I would do well.
As I reached my centre, I saw a large number of other students. I soon started the exam with my favourite subject, Maths. I knew that I would do good. But as soon as I reached chemistry, I had lost a bit of steam. But I completed my paper about 5 minutes before the actual time. The time between the completion of paper and submission was the most tense period of my life. When I submitted my paper, my score was 286,well enough to secure a seat. My joy bound no means when I saw my score.
I was still anxious about my board result. My mother told me on phone that I had scored 91.4% .
Thus,28 May is a day which I'll never forget.

I hope you liked this post.Comments are welcome.

A post after a long time.

It has been around two and a half years since I posted anything on my blog.
I am now spending my holidays in Shimla, where my chacha lives. Last time I posted on my blog ,I was in Kota studying my 11th and 12th science subjects. I have to say that I had a 'good' tenure in Kota. I was in Vibrant Academy for two years. I made some very good friends who are now studying in different colleges. They are doing very well and I am very happy for them.
I just completed my first semester in BITS Pilani Goa Campus and it has been a great journey till now.I hope to do well in studies there.
I promise that I'll update my blog from now on.
